Police said a Honda Civic and a Nissan car were involved in the collision.
It was reported that two occupants were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
A CAR accident at a busy Blackburn town centre junction has caused rush hour disruption.
Police and paramedics attended after being alerted to the two car smash close to King Street and Montague Street shortly before 5pm.
“It would not be appropriate for the school to make any further comment in relation to the matter while the case is ongoing.
“We would like parents to be assured that the school has robust safeguarding policies in place and that the welfare of the children is paramount to the school.
Police said there were also worries that nearby traffic lights had been damaged in the incident.

"The member of staff allegedly involved was suspended earlier this year following the allegations.
Police said the charges relate to five girls and are alleged to have taken place between September 2012 and February 2016.
