I just don't think it fits totally with what we do on the show. Glamour: Have you heard Chris' impersonation of you? Glamour: By the way, what do you think Callen's first name is? Glamour: As a fan of the show, would you like to see those two characters get together eventually?
Without giving too much away, I can say that tonight will feature a monumental moment for one (or several) of your favorite characters as the team investigates a burglary at a cyber-security company.
I'm here working, and I just like Todd Smith on the call sheet. I don't feel like they'll take me more serious or anything like that because I'm still LL Cool J on billing, but I think it's more personal.
Glamour: My dad's best friend is a huge fan of the show and would love to know if we'll ever have a scenario where Sam would go undercover and have to perform? I think that first of all, the reality is that the kind of music that I make is a lot more hard-core, and I'm not really a pop artist even though LL Cool J is a name that is known in America and around the world. You have shows where people kinda get along because people don't always get along, but we do. Glamour: What would Sam's advice be about a relationship with Kensi and Deeks given his own personal history? Well, I would think that Sam would probably advise them not to cross that line because that can become very difficult.
Glamour: The scenes with you and Chris are so entertaining. Todd: They write very specific for us, but we can improv as much as we want. What if they were in argument, and then we go get into a shoot-out? He has a family, we found out that he sacrificed a football scholarship to join the Navy young, for reasons we will find out later, we know that he's just a really special guy. Daniela Ruah: Chris would be the good-timer and the guy that would knock back a couple glasses of wine with you and have a blast.
And they're upset with one another and not thinking clearly because of something personal that bleeds into us investigating a case? He's the ultimate team player and puts his life on the line for his friends. I think if you want to sit and sleep, LL would be the best option because even though he's not quiet in general, I think he'd want his space on a plane.
We're all in the business, we're all professionals, and the most important thing is to keep the audience interested in the relationships of these characters, and we'll do what we have to do to make that happen.__Glamour: Did you ever expect the name LL Cool J to stick like it has back when you first started? I mean, the whole Ladies Love Cool J was just wishful thinking.
I was 16 and had friends that would make similar names just to try and be cool. In hindsight, a lot of people look like geniuses, but in hindsight, the stars just line up.
Glamour: I like that everybody calls you Todd on the set.
Todd: I let everybody call me Todd because I think that (1) It's more personal and I can connect with people, and (2) I don't want it to be about my career, my brand, my persona.
Eric Christian Olsen: I think this episode specifically is a really pivotal episode.
These are two characters who have kind of used self-preservation their whole lives to avoid being hurt, and then taking it to a place where they can't come back from, and that's dangerous, but that's going to be the future. Daniela: No, I think the build-up between Kenzie and Deeks has been going on for so much longer than my relationship with David.
